He has been doing a lot to protect Hanae. How about Aoi, the previous master of Mononokean? What was his past? What has happened between him and Sakae? Why can a human be a master and employee of Mononokean from then on? And at this point, Abeno has to keep secret about Sakae’s presence and what has happened. But why would he do that? Why made Sakae seem like a nice person? What is going on? What does that man want? Isn’t he dead over sixteen years ago? And they figured out that Aoi must have turned into Sakae and visited Hanae and his family 3 years ago. Another strange thing about Sakae is that he has golden hair and eyes just like Abeno! Which made me think that are they actually related in someway? 🤨 Sakae even possessed on Hanae for a while and have fight with Abeno. He’s such a mystery person since he was a secret employee of Mononokean whom is know for being cruel/harsh to obtain yokais’ lives. The surprise came to me when Ashiya wanted to find out about his father - Sakae Ashiya. Here we are introduced to a few more characters: Justice (司法 Shihou) who can turn into a tiger and the Executive (行政 Gyousei) who has the power and influence and wanting to stop Ashiya from coming to the Underworld.
It’s strange enough that yokais have all kinds of request, but they will still fulfill them anyway. They even helped a yokai to be a human for a day. So Abeno has engaged Yahiko to train Ashiya to sense yokai. Nonetheless, the both of them make a good match. 😂 It’s really weird to think that although Ashiya and Abeno are of the same age, Abeno is a lot mature and grown up. I agree on what Abeno thinks that it’s 3 year-old and 5 year-old that he has to deal with. The interaction of Yahiko and Ashiya is still cute. But things are getting a bit more complicated now. Well both (Hanae) Ashiya and Abeno are still doing their job to exorcise the yokais who need help.
I remember how much I love Season 1 so when Season 2 came I was so elated! But after watching the first few episodes I would say the climax and happenings have died down a lot. Previously on Season 1👉 Fukigen na Mononokean Japanese/Other title: 不機嫌なモノノケ庵 續 / Season 2
